Cowboy. A profession associated with the American mid-west and maybe not as much with Sweden and the department of Västergötland. Nevertheless there is a flourishing but small Western Riding culture to be found here.

Having not yet turned thirty and the father of two soon-to-be cowboys, Tommy Arvidsson has eleven Swedish national championship titles in the sport dummy roping. He manages between five and twenty horses at any time on his ranch while herding thousands of cattle from the horseback on behalf of the neighboring farm. Working most of the days in a year he usually fills his weeks with work on the farm and the weekends with competitions and roping clinics.
